Joseph Kosuth
curated by Mario Codognato and Adriana Rispoli
Born in 1945, Joseph Kosuth is one of the pioneers of Conceptual art, placing language at the heart of his practice, both as content and as subject. His celebrated neon works and textual installations explore how meaning is shaped by the context in which it appears, revealing language as never neutral but always influenced by its environment and reception, an idea that runs throughout his entire career and is rooted in the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein.
