I Deathstars sono un gruppo industrial metal proveniente dalla Svezia.
Il gruppo è stato fondato nel gennaio del 2000 da Emil Nödtveidt, Andreas Bergh, Erik Halvorsen e Ole Öhman, ex membri dei gruppi death metal Dissection e Swordmaster e del gruppo black metal Ophthalamia.
Nel giugno 2007, i Deathstars hanno vinto il premio Best Newcomer agli Hammer Golden Gods Awards, evento organizzato dalla rivista Metal Hammer. Il chitarrista Emil Nödtveidt è il fratello di Jon, il leader dei Dissection, morto suicida nel 2006.
I Deathstars hanno supportato i Cradle of Filth in un tour europeo nel 2006 ed i Korn in un tour europeo nel 2008.
