Caroline Esmeralda Van Der Leeuw – il nome complete di Caro Emerald – nasce ad Amsterdam il 26 aprile 1981. Dopo aver studiato jazz al conservatorio della sua città ed essersi diplomata nel 2005, riesce a farsi conoscere al grande pubblico grazie al singolo di grande successo "Back It up" , che anticipa il disco d’esordio DELATED SCENES FROM THE CUTTING ROOM FLOOR, pubblicato nel 2010.
Non vedo lora del concerto del 5 Ottobre!!!! lei dal vivo è spettacolare! Una bomba esplosiva di allegria e potenza vocale! è da due anni che la sto aspettando e il concerto del 25 luglio a milano del 2011 è stato il migliore spettacolo che io abbia mai visto!!!!! VAI CAROOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
