Adel Tawil è cresciuto a Berlino. I suoi genitori sono immigrati dall‘Africa del Nord (Egitto e Tunisia) e hanno trovato casa e lavoro nella capitale germanica. Dopo la scuola Adel Tawil ha iniziato di fare musica e ha creato i gruppi The Boyz e Ich+Ich. Con Ich+Ich ha venduto più di 5 millioni di disci e ha vinto i premi più prestigiosi della Germania, tra i quali l‘Echo nelle categorie „miglior artista pop/rock“ e „miglior artista live“.
