Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition is a project organized and promoted by Asset-Camera in collaboration with Arduino and Make, along with curators Massimo Banzi and Riccardo Luna. Maker Faire Rome’s second edition will take place in Renzo Piano’s Auditorium Parco della Musica, a makers village for showcasing innovation and foster creativity.
This year’s program has grown huge: Rome will host the Innovation Week, a week of debates, meetings and forums dedicated to the new frontiers in the digital revolution. During a whole week (September 29 – October 5), visitors will take part in Personal Democracy Forum, Open Hardware Summit, Social Innovation Cities and Maker Faire Rome.
Maker Faire Rome’s Opening Conference features a list of international speakers ranging from science fiction writer Cory Doctorow, cyborg artist Neil Harbisson, astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, 3D-printing scientists and many others.
