Xavier Rudd nasce il 29 maggio 1978 a Victoria in Australia. Viaggia molto fino ad arrivare in Canada, dove prende la cittadinanza. Debutta nel 2001 con TO LET, mentre nel 2004 esce SOLACE, in cui Xavier suona tutti gli strumenti e che ottiene il disco di platino in Australia. Nel 2007 pubblica WHITE MOTH: il tour che fa da supporto cerca di essere attento all’ambiente, visto che Rudd è molto sensibile ai temi dell’ecologia. DARK SHADES OF BLUE esce nel 2008, mentre KOONYUM SUN viene realizzato nel 2010. Il nuovo lavoro SPIRIT BIRD esce nel 2012 in collaborazione con alcuni musicisti africani.
