I The Gathering, formazione olandese nata nel 1989, hanno attraversato diverse fasi stilistiche — dal gothic/doom metal a esplorazioni di trip rock, psichedelia e sonorità elettroniche — diventando una delle realtà più influenti e sfaccettate della scena alternativa europea. Mandylion rimane uno dei loro album più iconici e questa serie di concerti è un tributo sentito e potente a quell'era, in formazione originale e con l'inconfondibile carisma e voce di Anneke per celebrare i brani che hanno fortemente marchiato la storia della band.
I Gathering hanno accompagnato la mia gioventù. Rivederli insieme dopo 32 anni è stato un tuffo al cuore. La band era al top e Anneke è semplicemente una Dea!!
