Billy Joel: esce un cofanetto per i 50 anni di "Turnstiles"

Billy Joel pubblicherà un cofanetto celebrativo per il 50° anniversario del suo quarto album del 1976 "Turnstiles", composto da quattro CD e un Blu-ray e contenente molto materiale inedito. La raccolta uscirà il prossimo 11 dicembre. Delle 67 tracce audio, 54 sono inedite e quattro provengono dalle abbandonate sedute di registrazione con Dee Murray e Nigel Olsson.

Il Blu-ray include 'Billy Joel Tonight' – un concerto filmato al Connecticut College nel 1976, recentemente trasferito, montato e mixato in alta definizione – oltre a un mix Dolby Atmos dell'album originale "Turnstiles" e a un libretto di 40 pagine con fotografie mai viste prima e nuovi testi di accompagnamento a cura di David Fricke e di John Jackson, direttore dell'archivio di Billy Joel. A seguire si può ascoltare la demo del brano "James" registrata dalla band nel 1975 e guardare alcuni filmati tratti dal concerto 'Billy Joel Tonight'.
